Longmont Housing Authority (LHA) PUBLIC NOTICE FOR REVISIONS TO THE SECTION 8 PAYMENT STANDARD

The Longmont Housing Authority (LHA) is issuing notice of its intent to adopt the following Section 8 Payment Standard Schedule for 2012.The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) requires Public Housing Authorities (PHA’s) to adopt Payment Standards.The PHA may establish a single payment standard amount for each unit size in its Fair Market Rent area.LHA is proposing to set the Section 8 Payment Standard Schedule at 106.5% of 2012 Proposed HUD Fair Market Rents.
The proposed Section 8 Payment Standard Schedules are also available for review at the LHA office located at 1228 Main Street, Longmont, CO and LHA website: www.longmontha.com.
Comment on the Section 8 Payment Standard Schedules may be submitted in writing to Longmont Housing Authority, Attn: Zenaida Delgado, Housing Coordinator, 1228 Main Street, Longmont CO 80501 or emailed to info@longmontha.com.Comments must be received by Monday, November 14, 2011 @ 12:00 p.m. All comments on the schedules will be reviewed prior to LHA Board of Commissioners (BOC) consideration for approval at the LHA BOC meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 @ 8:30 a.m.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires Public Housing Authorities to review Section 8 Utility Allowance Schedules each year.Revisions to the Section 8 Utility Allowance Schedules are required if there has been a change of 10% or more.LHA is issuing notice of its intent to adopt revisions to the Section 8 Utility Allowance Schedules.The proposed Section 8 Utility Allowance Schedules for 2012 are available for review at LHA office located at 1228 Main Street, Longmont, CO and on LHA website: www.longmontha.com.
